Culture shock to me was resolving myself to the fact that if one doesn't have a car in the UK, one walks..and boy..did I walked!!! Even if I had a car, I couldn't drive. There are public transportation but not if it's just between two miles. I never had to walk in the PI. I never thought I'd actually miss the jeepneys and tricycles. I even thought of buying myself a little sidecar three wheeler bike here. How pathetic.

But I'm all over that now. I used to dread weekday mornings because that means walking Gavin to school and back, 1 hour total. I can do that now in 30mins. By accident, I've discovered a very good way of entertaining myself during these boring walks and thanks to my new technique, I've stopped dreading weekday mornings.

I found that in my walks, I am able to listen to myself think and have conversations with myself about my past, my future, my family, my life...everything and anything under the sun, sometimes real events, sometimes just plain old fashioned daydreaming. No...I don't walk about muttering to myself. I'd look really mad then! 

So this weblog is actually a spin off of my daydreams during walks, a written version of my random thoughts. This way, I could file it, share it with my friends and hopefully, they will be entertained too or maybe they won't he he he.
